Legal Processing Principles

The processing of personal data requires a legal basis which we would like to present to you in the following.

When processing personal data for which we obtain the consent of the data subject, Article 6 (1) (a) of the EU Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) serves as the legal basis.

Article 6 (1) (b) DSGVO serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data required for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party. This also includes processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.

Insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. c DSGVO serves as the legal basis.

If the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and fundamental freedoms of the person concerned do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Article 6 paragraph 1 lit. f DSGVO serves as the legal basis for the processing. The legitimate interest of our company lies in the performance of our business activities as well as in the analysis, optimisation and maintenance of the security of our online services.

Facebook Social Plugins

Our website uses social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) from Facebook. The plug-ins are marked with a Facebook logo (white “f” on a blue tile, the terms “like”, “like” or a “thumbs up” sign) or the addition “Facebook Social Plug-In”. If you visit a website on our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser will establish a direct connection with Facebook’s servers.

The content of the plug-in is transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser, which integrates it into the website. This means that personal information, such as your IP address, URL, date and time and other browser-related information, is transmitted to Facebook and stored in the USA. According to Facebook, only an anonymous IP is collected in Germany.

If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to your Facebook account. When you interact with the plug-ins, for example, by clicking the “Like” button or posting a comment, your browser sends the relevant information directly to Facebook, where it is stored and, depending on your Facebook settings, communicated to your Facebook contacts. If you do not wish this, please log out of your Facebook account (before pressing the opt-in button).

Facebook stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website and other websites. Facebook uses cookies and similar technologies to display advertisements on and off Facebook services to you, whether or not you have an account and are logged in to Facebook. Facebook already sets cookies when you visit www.facebook.com and shares your information with third parties.

We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we do not have any knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or its use by Facebook. You can prevent the installation of these cookies by setting your Internet browser accordingly, by specifying there that all cookies are rejected by third parties; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

The purpose and extent of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook as well as your related rights and setting options for the protection of your privacy can be found in Facebook’s data protection information at http://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/, and especially for social plug-ins from Facebook at https://de-de.facebook.com/help/443483272359009/.

Twitter adheres to the principles of the EU-US Privacy Shield (more) and the Swiss-US Privacy Shield with respect to the collection, use, transmission and storage of personal data from the European Union and Switzerland according to its own specifications.

When you visit a website on our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Twitter servers.

The content of the plug-in is transmitted directly from Twitter to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. This allows Twitter to receive information such as your IP address, URL, date and time and other browser-related log data. Twitter uses cookies and similar technologies to display advertisements and suggestions on Twitter services to you, regardless of whether you have an account with Twitter and are logged in. The information generated by the cookie (including your IP address) is stored on a server in the United States. Twitter only stores tailored content together with browser cookies or device IDs and separates them from other data, such as information about pages visited. After a maximum of 10 days, Twitter will begin deleting, unidentifying or collecting this data.

By using Twitter and the “Re-Tweet” function, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and made known to other users. Data is also transferred to Twitter. If you do not wish this, please log out of your Twitter account (before pressing the opt-in button).

We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we do not have any knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Twitter. You can prevent the installation of these cookies by setting your Internet browser accordingly, by specifying there that all cookies are rejected by third parties; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent.

Further information can be found here.
