Open Source and Enterprise Edition

Camunda BPM

Camunda BPM is a lightweight open source platform for business process management

Due to its openness, Camunda BPM easily integrates into the respective development environment. Existing components can still be used, extended by BPM capabilities à la Camunda, such as the design of BPMN 2.0 models, the transfer from third-party tools, the implementation and execution of process models, the recording of process KPI’s and the preparation of corresponding process performance.

Supporting Process Life Cycle

The process life cycle is supported in all phases from design, implementation, execution and monitoring to process controlling. This makes it possible to monitor and control business processes based on key figures.

Enabling Best-of-breed

In contrast to extensive BPM suites, Camunda BPM promotes an approach in which the best possible ingredients are put together according to the company situation or project context. The interaction of different tools specially selected for the respective challenge results in a tailor-made overall solution. Combinations of process, interaction and integration possibilities create an individual solution with the best ingredients.

Using Standards

Camunda BPM combines the most important BPM standards of the Object Management Group:

  • BPMN 2.0 to depict structured workflows for the automation of uniform, regulated business processes.
  • CMMN 1.1 for the implementation of unstructured processes that enable knowledge-intensive and flexible business cases.
  • DMN 1.1 for modeling and automating business rules to make decisions more transparent.

Camunda Services GmbH

Camunda, based in Berlin, Germany, develops the open source BPM platform of the same name that is used worldwide and has also defined the BPMN 2.0 standard. The practical manual BPMN, published in 2009, is one of the most internationally successful publications on the topic of BPMN. For Camunda BPM, Mettenmeier offers complete solutions from consulting to workshops and technical implementations to product operation.
